Stage 10 was a flat day but again this is flat in the world of the tour and our strange life nowadays. Flat saw us climb over 1800m which pre-tour was a good hill training day. Fortunately it was preceded by the first of our rest days, though in this case a rest day meant an eight hour coach transfer. Fortunately the stay at the luxurious Chateaux de la Bretesche made it worth while.

It was also a good day for me to check out how my injuries would affect my riding. Fortunately with the help of a few painkillers the day went with few problems, just minor aches and pains though I do feel they all will be there for many days yet.

It was generally a good day however, riding along in a nice group at a pace which though challenging for me was also mostly within my ability. In the few cases the train got stretched out the group were happy to rein in the pace a little to preserve the team. We practiced chain gang riding and though not prefect it was largely successful and we moved fluidly along at quite a pace. It was very enjoyable, having to pay attention at all times and being active within the team at all times, either working forward or recovering back.

All in all a good day. Thanks to all the team particularly Alex and Morten who kept us all in check the whole day.
