1st attempt at some hill training

Well, recent revelations (or not is it was expected being over 100kg at present) that I am not really that good at climbing prompted me to try some circuits of Arthurs Seat as a form of hill training. It’s nice and local to me so something I can benchmark and do a few laps in the evening after work.

Six times round was a reasonable start and tried different ways of climbing; big ring, small ring, standing. Was slightly disturbed at the end though, 32km but only 700m height gain. I’m going to have to do over 1000m in 13km on l’Alpe d’Huez (and repeat it).

Still, it’s an OK start I suppose.
