Running from Saturday June 29th to Sunday July 21th 2013, the 100th Tour de France will be made up of 21 stages and will cover a total distance of 3,360 kilometres (that’s 2100 miles in old money).

Being the 100th Edition it is going to be something special. 100% in France and with some of the toughest stages the race has ever had, including ascending Alpe-d’Huez twice in the one day. The race itself is always a major challenge to the pros, even they regard finishing as a major achievement.

You might wonder then why I have decided to cycle the whole route exactly a week ahead of the pros. My sanity may be questioned!
